The Glamour Of Gold (1926)

Hudson, Ontario, Canada. Title: “The Glamour of Gold. Prospectors rush to the new ’Klondike’ by every kind of conveyance, including aeroplanes!“ M/S of people walking along the platform of Hudson railway station, most are poor looking men, some have dogs with them. Panning M/S of a row of men standing at the edge of a frozen lake; they look hardy outdoor types in check shirts and big boots. M/S of a shack in the snowy wilderness, a group of men are harnessing packs of dogs to sleighs. M/S of a man packing bundles onto his sleigh, two other men are harnessing up the dogs. M/S of a biplane, half covered by a tarpaulin, a pack of Huskies harnessed to a sleigh. After several seconds of spacing, a second version of this story starts at 01:48:36. Most of the second version is identical to the first. Some additional L/Ss of men on sleighs driving packs of huskies across the frozen lake. Note: an orange tinted print of this story also exists.
