Situation at Mali [27/7/2024]: FAM and Wagner forces withdrew from the locality of I-n-Afarak towards the town of Tessalit. Meanwhile, the operations around the town of Tinzaouten ended in a military disaster. The joint FAM/Wagner forces were pushed back by the Tuareg CSP militia. During the withdrawal of the forces towards Kidal, the JNIM militants ambushed again the contingent which resulted in the death of dozens of Malian soldiers and Russian mercenaries.
