Kim Howells visits Swansea’s Glynn Vivian Gallery and finds out more about the very different painting styles of siblings Augustus and Gwen John. Curator Karen McKinnon describes Augustus’ style as flamboyant whilst Gwen is more contemplative. Both were keen to leave their native Tenby and were greatly influenced by European art.
