Astor Piazzolla is an Argentine composer of the second half of the 20th century, whose works significantly enriched the tango genre, presenting it in a modern way, incorporating elements of jazz and classical music. He is the founder of the style that received the name (Spanish tango nuevo, «new tango»). One of his most famous works was Libertango, recorded in 1974 in Milan.
