Gambler Slick and his wife, Kate, recruit a clueless taxi driver, Jimmy, to take them cross-country to the Arizona casino run by Danny. After Danny falls for Molly, a rival, Lank, runs for sheriff so he can blackmail Danny and shut him down. So the boys decide Jimmy should also run, not knowing whether Lank will kill whoever is elected.
