THIS RESTORED EMD FP7A LOCOMOTIVE IS BACK IN SERVICE! (2020) | Jason Asselin

Today I filmed this vintage EMD FP7 that was put back into service hauling freight for the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad. I chased it from Wisconsin up into upper Michigan, at one point a pickup truck ran out in front of it ignoring the flashing red signals and horn blowing. Overall it was a good chase with some great footage, I hope you love it! This EMD FP7 marked ELS 600 is a 1,500 horsepower (1,100 kW), B-B dual-service passenger and freight-hauling diesel locomotive produced in January 1951 by General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division and General Motors Diesel. It’s currently owned by the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad but was previously owned by Wisconsin & Calumet, Wisconsin & Southern and Milwaukee Road.
