Ministry of Defence hack ’suspected work of a malign actor’, Shapps tells MPs

The hack against the Ministry of Defence (MoD) was the“suspected work of a malign actor“, Grant Shapps has said. The defence secretary made the comments in a House of Commons statement on the data breach. In the same speech, he also confirmed that up to 272,000 armed forces personnel have been affected by the breach which occurred over the weekend.
