USA: SHARON STONE REVEALS SHE HAD LYMPH CANCER

(16 Jun 1995) English/Nat Movie star Sharon Stone Friday revealed she had lymph cancer, but added it was now in remission. Stone told the National Press Club in Washington that she was diagnosed with cancer four years ago. She added she had lumps in “every area“ of her body but after several months of “positive thinking“ and “holistic healing“, she tested negative for cancer. Looking as sexy and glamorous as usual, Sharon Stone made an appearance in Washington DC Friday to address the National Press Club. The topic was how a healthy lifestyle could help women avoid breast cancer. Stone pointed out that one-in-eight women would die from breast cancer. But in a humorous tone, Stone urged women to make it a basic instinct to self-test themselves. SOUNDBITE: “We’re not supposed to talk about our breasts, but there’s a lot of people in this room who’d pay $ to see mine, so I guess there pretty interesting. So please, examine your own breasts. Don’t be shy, live it up.“ SUPER
