Dear friends,
Goodbye MD-11! One last McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is registered in Europe. It was wearing the registration D-ALCC, 23 years old, and flew for Lufthansa Cargo - and will now go over to Western Global. The last landing in Frankfurt was scheduled for Oct. 15. The aircraft has already been sold and will go to the USA.
For its last weeks of service, the MD-11 received a farewell livery. „Lufthansa Cargo thanks the D-ALCC for more than 23 years of loyal service and sends it on its last rounds to Cairo, Tel Aviv, Chicago, and New York with the greeting ‚Farewell‘ and ‚Thank you, MD-11‘ and on its fuselage,“ the cargo airline wrote.
