episode 3: Exhausting hitchhiking out from Northern Greece to Turkey

After overcoming the abandoned railway trail, we go higher and higher to the north of Greece and saying goodbye to it, moving on to the neighboring country - Turkey! However, in the north of Greece, hitchhiking is not easy, because the Muslim minority of Hellas keeps to itself and does not at all want to open up to new experiences and even less let strangers into their home (or in their car). Thus, in addition to the walking route, another walking trip have been added with more than twenty kilometers. Will we overcome? Maybe we should wait another hour or two at the entrance to the highway, maybe someone will give us a ride! But after several hours of cars passing away, we say: “Bloody hell! We’re just wasting time here! 50 meters away there is an old serpentine road, which is still used by villagers, maybe they will give us a lift, at least for 5 km or smth?” But life is not a dream – we will have to drag ourselves along, because the cars on this path are like rain in the desert.
