Making an authentic kite shield board using modern tools

Our shield is inspired by the Original 12th Century Kite Shield from Szczecin. It it can be found in a museum here: (now that’s a nice link) Most important information and geometric analysis of it we got from The Dimicator. See his work from here: Important experience was also shared by mr Patrick Lasota. The alder planks were bought from Fiskarin Laatupuu Oy: The reindeer rawhide is from Kemin Nahkatarvike Oy: The board was made by Hirdmenn member Arttu Peltoniemi and Carpenter Tanda Tuovinen. Please ask if you need more information. We are glad to help. If you make your own shield please share
