Pavel Latushka - about desperate steps of Belarusian political prisoners #FreeBelarusianCell

There is the shortest and most precise definition of what is currently happening in Belarusian prisons - torture. People are tortured, broken down, forced to incriminate themselves. Such pressure pushes political prisoners to desperate measures. At the moment, three of them are on a hunger strike – blogger Igor Losik, civil activist Dmitry Furmanov and musician Igor Bantser. Igor Losik and Igor Bantser refused not only food, but also water – this is the most dangerous and excruciating type of hunger strike. Losik and another political prisoner, blogger Sergei Petrukhin, tried to kill themselves by cutting their wrists. At liberty, we can only guess why people decide to do such desperate things. Belarusians have long understood that a person’s life means nothing to Lukashenko. Do the lives of Belarusians mean anything to the world and Europe?
