Various shots of the Adjutant General addressing his men onboard the ship and reads out a letter of welcome from the King. The men reply with three cheers (natural sound). Several shots of the Lord Provost of Edinburgh William Darling, who is next to speak to the men. He welcomes them on behalf of the City of Edinburgh (natural sound). Various shots of the interviews with some of the repatriated men (natural sound). They are in good humour and pleased to be home. Various shots of the men boarding smaller craft and going into port.
