For me it’s more like giving a new perspective or flavor to the song. Most often putting in some additional strength that its original creators couldn’t really put so they don’t risk sounding awkward to the mass listener. This song is one of those exact examples that the original is just great and anything different would be just that: different - not better or worse, just different. The emotional vocals would make for a great trance track but the speed and shuffle rhythm don’t help at all. Instead I’ve raised the bpm a bit to reach the Drum & Bass range which it was what I’ve firstly attempted. The Drum & Bass slowly became Drumstep as I realized the hard drum hits fit the song a bit better. On the other hand though the song was way too emotional and meaningful to ruin it with dirty basses and wobbles. The result? You’re listening to it now! Thank you for watching!
