Homemade Ketchup without sugar Today I’m going to show you how to make homemade ketchup from scratch. This sugar-free ketchup is made with fresh tomatoes, onions and apple. SUGAR FREE KETCHUP RECIPE Ingredients: 3 cups chopped tomatoes (600g) 1/4 cup water (60ml) 1 medium-size onion 1 medium-size apple 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp mustard 1/4-1/2 tsp salt *optional 1 tbsp maple syrup (it’s not necessary if using fresh tomatoes) NUTRITIONAL INFO (per tablespoon): 12 calories, fat , carb , protein Preparation: In a heavy bottomed pan, add the tomatoes, water, diced onions and chopped apple. Bring to a boil, cover and cook over low heat for 40 minutes. Blend with a hand blender and push through the sieve to remove seeds and tomato skin. Stir in the apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, mustard and salt to the taste. Cook over low heat for another 10 minutes, or until thickens to your liking. Let it cool and transfer to a jar or a squeeze bottle. Enjoy!
