December 7 is the birthday of Russia’s Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg. The world’s second-largest museum has a collection of about three million works of art and monuments of world culture. Its exhibits are housed in 10 buildings and 3 million people visit it annually. Amazingly, the museum would not be as great without cats. Why is this?
