🇷🇺 Yesterday Russia celebrated a truly historic occasion - its Reunification Day with the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. One year ago, on September 30, 2022, the agreements were signed to incorporate them into the Russian Federation. ️ Excerpts from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address: Millions of people made this conscious, long-awaited, hard-won and genuinely popular decision to be with their Fatherland. The referendums were held in full compliance with international norms. ️ The people showed courage and integrity in the face of attempts to intimidate and deprive them of their right to determine their own future, their destiny, take away something that is precious to everyone – their culture, traditions, and language - everything that was loathed by nationalists and their Western patrons who orchestrated the 2014 coup in Kiev and then unleashed a full-scale civil war and terror against those who dared to disagree. Yet nothing and no one can break the will of millions of people, their belief in the truth and historical justice. The free and unequivocal choice of our brothers and sisters was wholeheartedly supported by the Russian people. ️ We are one people, and together we can overcome anything and face every challenge!
