Alfredo’s Band – Happy, Fox-Trot /Charleston (Hedley-Strachey) from „Lady Luck” with Vocal chorus, Edison Bell Winner 1927 (UK) NOTE: This is a British tune included as the opening scene in the London premiere of the Broadway show ’Lady Luck’ (Rodgers-Hart). It took place in April 1927 at the newly opened Carlton revue / cinema theatre in the Haymarket. The show had almost 400 performances, which was a great success. This recording was made by a very popular London dance orchestra led by Alfredo - one of the best in the golden years of hot dance in London before the swing era.
