How To Play “Time Is Running Out” by Muse On Drums: Note-For-Note Drum Cover

How To Play “Time Is Running Out” by Muse On Drums: Note-For-Note Drum Cover Requested by several of my students! This was lots of fun to play. Please note this is the original version of the song, not the arrangement from Grade 4 Trinity Rock and Pop Drums (video demo for that is here: ) Brilliant play-along for any drummer at the Grade 4 level (or above!) Not a perfect performance by any stretch (only had time for one take at this today between lessons!) Also, had to compromise a bit with the tom part, the written part is for a kit with two floor toms, so I’ve substituted the second (mid) tom for one of the floor toms where necessary to make this work on a standard five-piece set-up! If you’re learning drum grades, for me the principle reason to do that is to develop your skills - and I really recommend using those skills to then enjoy playing a whole load of great tunes outside of the Grade syllabus - this a great example :) “Drums only“ version of this cover is here: Great chart found here (not free): Obviously you can just jam this along to the original recording, or there’s a great drumless track (which I used) from Karaoke Version, found here: I’m aware that the track doesn’t sound exactly like Muse and the singer doesn’t sound hugely like Matt Bellamy! But it’s still great to have a drumless track to play along to.
