FFXIV - [COMEDY] Adventures in Unlocking Ridorana Lighthouse - Oh No, Red Chocobos!

This is just a record for posterity of some ridiculousness that happened, and that I was privileged enough to witness. For actual help on starting this quest, or unlocking any other content in patch 4.3, check out any of these totally serious, non-comedic player-written guides: #gid=1685843764 So, when FFXIV: Stormblood was first released, there was this one part of the main story quest line where everyone had to do a single-player instanced battle, and everyone wanted to do it all at once. The servers didn’t like that. This patch, to unlock the new 24-player raid, everyone needs to complete an open-world battle meant to be single player, thereby eliminating the previous problem of clogging up the instance servers like a fatberg in the sewers of London.
