My Woodworking Design Plans: Hi and thanks for watching, if you want to build a sign like this it measures approximately 9.5“ x 18“ and the numbers are 5“ polished brass. The sign is made of Natural Mahogany, I think Sapele would also look great if you can’t find Mahogany. After finishing the sign with three coats of TotalBoat Gleam Spar Varnish Gloss I painted the cove detail with three coats of TotalBoat Total Gold. Once Gold Paint was dry I sanded the sign to remove any of the gold paint that went outside the line / cove … then applied three more coats of the Gleam Spar Varnish Gloss.
