Full title reads: “Doncaster. The St. Leger. To accompaniment of ’The Great Yorkshire Roar,’ ’Hyperion’ - Derby winner and popular favourite - gives Lord Derby ’runaway’ and 5th Victory in the last of the Classics.“ Doncaster Race Course, Yorkshire. Horses are led down the course to the start (Voiceover names various horses as they pass). The horses approach the tape and get away first time. Various shots of the horses racing around the course. They speed towards the finish and Hyperion wins. Hyperion is led to the winners’ enclosure through the crowds. His Jockey gives him a pat. MS of unidentified man presumably trainer or owner.
