The film was financed by the Electronic Industries Association Bendix Corporation, General Electric, Motorola and RCA, which all produced radios. At the time, the EIA was lobbying the frequency spectrum regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), with respect to 25 to 890 MC frequency allocations.
