The Ford Dark Horse Mustang is the flagship Mustang model for the 2024 model year. The completely new trim level offers track-ready performance features similar to past model year models like the Mach I and Shelby GT350/GT350R. Under the hood of the Dark Horse is Ford’s 4th-generation Coyote naturally aspirated V8 engine. The Dark Horse benefits from the previous generation Shelby GT500’s forged engine internals to produce a factory-claimed 500 HP and 418 lb-ft of torque.
