Why Are Americans So Obsessed With Communism??

For the last century, the United States has been obsessed with rooting out communism and communist sympathizers internally and abroad. From Joseph McCarthy’s Red Scare to CIA-backed coups in Guatemala and Congo, to the Korean and Vietnam wars, America’s ruthlessness against communism has been far reaching, with devastating consequences. Was it even worth it?
