There is a lot of 40k nostalgia surrounding Games Workshop in the 1990’s. Second edition of 40k was a different time. We made our own Warhammer terrain, there were blast templates and scatter dice but the rules were different. It was a warhammer skirmish game going big, a Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game but without a Games Master. There was very little balance and the rules updates were rare.
