ANTIETAM, Mini-series; 7/8: “Terror in Miller’s Cornfield - Antietam”

Confederates of Stonewall Jackson prepare to meet advancing Union forces under General Joe Hooker at the southern end of Miller’s cornfield at Antietam on the morning of September 17, 1862. It’s a classic Civil War standup frontal fight, neither side giving an inch until the ammunition runs low and Jackson’s men are forced to give way.
