Boris Rybak’s Immigration The Burlesque: Flying to Florida (Official Lyrics Video)
Synopsis
2010 or 11 (or maybe 2024 or 25). The global financial crisis (or maybe the pandemic or war in Europe) is fading away. Life is coming back to normal. People around the globe are starting to travel again, enjoy life, and dream about a better future. Even in countries that hardly could be described as prosperous or well-developed.
Three young dudes live on different sides of the globe. One is a young guy from India, Raj Agrawal, another is a young lady from Honduras, Jasmin Lopez, and the third is a boy from Russia, Kolya Makeev. All of them are in their early twenties, living on a tight budget and all are computer geniuses of some kind.…
All of sudden… they all apply to, and win the US Green Card lottery. Three innocent and naïve emigrants prepare to go to the US. After receiving their green cards, they each move to Miami. In Miami, they meet an American guy, Kevin Roster, who is an activist helping immigrants to adapt to local realities.
He helps these three new immigrants to find a job in the newly opened Miami Face Book /Meta office. This eager group, aka Group of Three (GOT) works day and night on jobs assigned to them by FB and their own ideas as well. Very soon they develop “Lie and Scum Detector” (LSD), a gadget that detects … you know what.
This project becomes known to the scientific and the IT community, as well as to immigrant circles in Miami, including those closely connected to mafias and mobs and the intelligence services of all imaginable countries – Mosad, 国安部Guó’ānbù, GRU, CIA, سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی, FBI, to name a few of the most scary.
Sinister things start to happen around our heroes. GOT try to escape and they get lost in the largest US city, NYC. But in New York Kolya almost immediately meets Russian UN rep Sergey Lavrin, who explains to him what a real patriot should do and urges him to come back to Russia. Or else…

Flying to Florida
Raj:
Squeezing through the airport
Rushing to the gate
Boarding the triple seven
Just in time not being late
Squeezing into a tight
“double ‘xcuse me” seat
I am so excited, just
Cannot drink or eat
Kolya:
Soon I will be sitting
On a sandy sunny beach
A new life is coming
I’m gonna be rich
I am gonna be famous
Welcomed anywhere
I am gonna be a super star
Of the Western hemisphere
Chorus
Flying to Floh-ri-da
Flying to Floridah
Flying to Floh-ri-da
Land where my dreams will soon come true.
All right! Let’s go just like that crazy now!
Trrrrrahhh!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!
Ole-Ole Ya-ya-ya Ya-ya-ya!

Kolya: Beaches, palms, warm ocean! Girls! It is awesome!
Raj: I will fulfil my plans, I will be a big boss in a big corporation, the likes of Apple or Google. Like my compatriot predecessors did. Nobody will stop me! Nobody!

Jasmin:
I will have some children
A nice house and a dog
Live a happy life and maybe
Make a successful blog
Helping people find themselves
See good people standing tall
Contributing to good deeds
I’ll contribute to good deeds
And happiness for all
All together:
Soon we’ll be sitting
On a sandy sunny beach
A new life is coming
We’re gonna be rich
We’re gonna be famous

We’re gonna be the super stars
Of the Western hemisphere
