Making ice II

11 minute video of my son’s 4th grade science fair project. We made a press and low temperature bath to make ice II, one of fifteen different crystal phases of ice that exist. We had no idea whether our apparatus was good enough for the job or whether ice II would survive long enough in air for us to see it. You’ll have to watch the video to find out the answer.
