Thought to be Selected Originals from late 1940s material. A short animated trailer film explaining that “Extra Effort Now Means Better Living Sooner“. Hands appear on the screen. The magic hands operate a machine producing boxes with war production stamped on them. The hands now appear tired (it is the end of the war). A packet of cigarettes appear and lots of hands grab them, a sign appears to say there are no cigarettes - the tired hands are left with nothing. The hands start back to work - this time the boxes are stamped Peace Production. The cartoon shows what goods are being imported and what the hands have to match in output. The hands rub together.
