Royal family members including King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, attended a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace to welcome the South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol. Also in attendance were Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Sir Keir Starmer and K-pop girl band Blackpink. The King’s banquet speech praised South Korean culture’s “remarkable ability to captivate imaginations“. Although he admitted he hadn’t much of “what might be called Gangnam Style“.
