Notre Dame de Paris Vierne Clair de Lune. Cochereau

Pierre Cochereau performs one of Louis Vierne’s “Pièces de Fantaisie“ in a recording made in the early 1970’s. Cochereau was titulaire at Notre Dame from 1955 until his death, at the age of 59, in 1984. In the first 84 years of the 20th century, the organ bench at Notre Dame was occupied by only 3 organists: Vierne, Léonce de Saint Martin, & Cochereau.
