Game Info --------------------------------------------------- Developer: Sega Publisher: Sega Year of Release: 1986 Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Essentially a rebranded version of Sega’s “Ashura“ for Western markets, the Rambo license awkwardly stapled to this vertically scrolling shooter, itself a mediocre facsimile of Commando and Ikari Warriors. The console hardware clearly delivered a better visual experience than what was possible on the 8-bit micro computers of the day, so it at least LOOKS better than, say, the Commodore 64 version of Rambo, but I can’t say the same for the gameplay - its glacial pacing and dull absence of excitement make for a wholly lacklustre experience.
