XYZ – Face Down In The Gutter. 30th anniversary of the song!

XYZ followed up their straight shootin’ with another round of guitar driven rockers, and melodic cuts throughout their 1991 LP, Hungry. The recording opens with muscle, as the down ’n’ out wasted anthem, “Face Down in the Gutter“, is hammered out with a cool six string intro from Marc Diglio, while Terry Houk stamps the cut with his cool vocals. Set at two AM, Digilio’s guitar tone rules throughout the kickin’ cut. The four-minute-plus gutter-huggin’ track was issued by Capitol Records as a promotional CD single, and the smokin’ song was also supported by a hot-rocker-chicks augmented video. “Face Down in the Gutter“ is a full-on shot of pre-grunge, accessible big hair rock action.
