BMW valvetronic

An illustration of how the BMW VALVETRONIC system works. The technology removes the need for a standard butterfly valve throttle as the intake valve does this job. The valve can be continuously adjusted between and lift. An electronic stepper motor adjusts the potion of the eccentric shaft depending on the engine operating condition. This allows for fully continuous variable valve control.
