The Making of the Rose Circle

The challenge: to make our signature sgraffito-carved artwork for a circular, cement planter. The tiles not only needed to be made out of poured cement, but also needed a slight curve. Here’s how we did it. Installed at Chabot College in January 2012, one of Natalie Blake Studios’ public art installations on campus.
