SOLDERING and burnishing SMALL BRASS PARTS for ship models

Soldering and burnishing tin and brass FAST AND EASY. I highly recommend you to watch my other video on how to make some of the most common pieces of hardware for your ship models: 📍 Soldering was something that was missing in that video, but you can find It here now. So let me show you how I tin solder and blacken brass for my ship models. I apply the soldering paste as close as I can to the interested area I then lay a tiny piece of tin on the soldering paste. You can either lay the welder underneath the brass if the brass piece is large enough otherwise you can lay the welder on the tin, like how I did in the video. I the turn the brass piece and repeat the process on the other side I use a file to finish the piece and eliminate the excess. 📽 My suggestions: ⭐️ Making quality brass pieces from scratch: 🎥 If you’re just starting building ship models check out my basic training videos: ⭐️ Playlist: “Model ship building for beginners“: ⭐️ Playlist: “Basics of rigging model ships: tutorials and techniques“: ⭐️ Fixing deadeyes at the same eight: ⭐️ Making realistic sails: ⭐️ Model ship building from scratch: 📸 Check out my full video logs: ⭐️ Full video log “The Dorade yacht 1:20“: ⭐️ Full video log “The Whaleboat of New Bedford 1860“: I highly recommend you using a soldering station, here the one I used in the video: And this is the soldering paste I use: (EU) I had positive feedback on this burnisher, which works with brass and tin, delivery cost is pretty expensive though (EU) 👉 You can support my work here: 👉👉 Thanks to the kind sponsor of this video you can get a 10% discount on your order using the code TMARE1 on #shipmodeling #modelismonaval #modelshipbuilding ----- Follow me on: MY SITE FACEBOOK: INSTAGRAM: YOUTUBE:
