Putin, Lukashenko inaugurate newly renovated Soviet-era Vostok Gas Station in Antarctica

The Russian and Belarusian leaders on Sunday inaugurated the newly renovated Vostok Station in one of the southernmost points in Antarctica. Russian state gas giant Novatek shouldered the costs of the renovation to expand the station and funded the building of a Belarusian station some 20 kilometers (around 12 miles) away, where the stationed scientists are set to study ice core samples, monitor space weather, among other things. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
