“Nothing Else Matters“ - Metallica (Cover)

This was the first song I ever recorded myself playing on my old beaten up 8-track recorder when I was 12 years old. I must have recorded it a hundred times since then. I like to think my 12-year-old self would be proud of this version and how far I’ve come. I’ll have to post a video on how I constructed all those orchestrations from scratch and arranged the track. I don’t even want to think about how much time I spent on the arrangement, delving deep into the behind the scenes studio documentaries to work out some of the more subtle and mysterious sounds going on in the background. I tried to stay as true to the original as I could while still making it my own and chose to recreate as much of the beautiful original score by Michael Kamen as possible, while adding in some of my own flair where appropriate ;) Listening to the isolated S&M orchestral tracks were a big help with that! Somehow this song never seems to get old and is always there when you need it most, and I owe that and a whole lot more to Jame
