Vidas Pinkevicius - Tranquil Waves, Op. 269 | VU Aula Parva (8’+4’)

In the heat of the summer, today I’d like to share with you my gentle original composition in the key of F major Tranquil Waves, Op. 269. It could be played on the organ with two manuals and pedals as well as on the organ with one manual with pedals. Dedicated to @CarsonCooman. I have recorded it on the elegant Baroque-style organ at Vilnius University St. John’s which is undergoing a thorough renovation by Janis Kalnins and his team from Latvia. Originally, I thought this piece would sound best with 8’ registration in the manuals but I made an additional video with 8’ and 4’ registration. Since neither Ausra nor I couldn’t decide which one we like more, I kept both. Today you’ll hear this piece played with 8’ and 4’ combination and I’ll share the second version with you later. Hope you will enjoy it!
