Seal’s Face PUFFY From Tight Loop

The rescuers always look for loose fishing line between seals, often it is attached to an animal and it can potentially lead to a double seal entanglement. This morning they find two seals dragging behind long strings of fishing line. They can’t run properly, they keep on tripping over their entanglement, and the rescuers can easily grab both. The first seal has fishing line tightly wrapped around his face, his while face was swollen up and puffy. He would not have been able to eat, the fishing line was a certain death sentence. The second seal had a fishing hook stuck in its flipper with fishing line attached to it. Luckily the barb had been flattened, and the hook is easily removed from the animal. The wound looks fresh enough and the seal is allowed to go back into the ocean.
