Antonio Valente Intavolatura di Cimbalo (1576) Variations on La Romanesca

Antonio Valente was an Italian Renaissance composer and organist at Sant’Angelo a Nilo in Naples. During this time he composed two collections of organ music -Intavolatura di Cimablo which included six sets of variations. Those on La Romanesca being among Romanesca was a popular lute tune from Spain which also became popular in Naples which was at that time under Spanish rule.
