Carole Lombard Hunting Trip -- Home Footage

Not what I usually post to this channel but I still wanted to share This footage features Carole Lombard and her husband Clark Gable on their ranch, but more prominently their pheasant hunting trip in South Dakota. It’s been shown in the MGM produced documentary “Dear Mr. Gable“ (1968), more footage of this was uploaded back in 2008 by the Carole Lombard Archive (Carole Sampeck), but was struck down by copyright. This is mostly what I could recover from ’08 vid and other videos over the years. This is fairly incomplete as I know there are a few pieces of footage missing, and some of these aren’t full-length. The original film reel is definitely out there as it went for auction in 2015 but I do sincerely hope it isn’t lost to time. If anyone has more footage, clips or information please reach out! Cheers!
