Israel dropped hundreds of 2,000-pound bombs on Gaza: CNN

Israel dropped hundreds of massive bombs on Gaza capable of killing or wounding people over 300 metres away, an analysis by CNN and AI company Synthetaic has shown. Satellite imagery from the first month of the war shows more than 500 impact craters over 12 metres in diameter that are consistent with those left by 2,000-pound bombs. These bombs are significantly larger than the biggest bombs used by the US in its war against ISIS. The high casualty numbers in Gaza are largely attributed to the use of such heavy munitions, according to experts in military weapons and strategies. Given Gaza’s exceptionally high population density, the impact of these large bombs has been particularly devastating.
