Full title reads: “LONDON’S NEW LORD MAYOR - Admission Ceremony at the Guildhall. - THIS IS THE FIRST OCCASION ON WHICH THIS HISTORIC CEREMONY HAS BEEN FILMED.“ London. Various shots of the procession of City of London’s dignitaries in their ceremonial robes moving slowly through rows of people at the ceremony of admission of London’s new Lord Mayor at Guildhall. New Lord Mayor Sir Harry Twyford approaches a desk to be sworn in by the Town Clerk. He repeats the oath read by the Town Clerk - natural sound. New Lord Mayor sings the declaration. The old Lord Mayor steps down from his seat and the new Lord Mayor takes it. Old Lord Mayor presents the new one with the sceptre, seal of the office of Mayoralty, Purse, the sword and the Mace.
