Down to the footsteps of every character you see on screen. Sound effects like the rustling of clothes, punches being thrown, doors opening or closing, and almost every sound imaginable are recorded separately in a studio. When this happens, it is known as Foley! Why is this done? Well it’s because there are times on set, where the sounds are not picked up from the mic.
