My mixer desk is very important to me because I can mute the different instruments and I do not need to create an arrangement in the computer to hear the progression of the song. It’s hands on. That’s how I always work. I jam the track and create the arrangement before I program it in the computer. For a short period I worked without a mixer but then I recognised that I need the mixer to create the arrangement. Never ever anymore without a mixer. That’s a more easy approach then arranging the songs in the computer. When I jam there are always errors that then often also become part of the track. Priceless.
