CHINA-US RELATIONS: Wendy Sherman meeting with Chinese FM Wang Yi

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng says relations with the US are in stalemate. He gave the assessment during talks this morning with his American counterpart, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. Xie blamed faltering ties on some in the US treating China as an “imagined enemy“. Sherman is in the city of Tianjin, on a two-day visit. She is also meeting with Foreign Minister Wang Yi today.
