It is a release that would set a new standard for Psytrance production and start the amazing journey of The Mushrooms duo. The guys took the familiar approach to Goa Trance production, which they developed from their tracker days, and layered it with their unique style of guitar riffs, precise sampling, and a flowing compositions throughout the album. You can detect strong influences from Hallucinogen (Simon Posford) and X-Dream, complimented by Infected’s playful and cinematic style and outside influences from the guy’s past (from Erez’s classical education to Duvdev’s Punk Rock days - and who said Primus?). The popular track, “Psycho“, is an excellent example where you can hear how Infected Mushroom’s music differed from their contemporary peers. A ’Goadelic’ kick, with minimal synths and effects, gradually turning into a more layered and complex track. When the twisty psychedelic synths are starting to build up, we’re starting to take off into the new dimension that was opened for us by Infected Mushroom.
