With fighting shifting to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Hamas claimed a major battlefield success against Israel in the southern city of Khan Younis. Hamas’ military wing Al Qassam Brigades said that their fighters had trapped “dozens“ of Israeli soldiers in a house, and blown it up before attacking with machine gun fire. Hamas also claimed that it had destroyed 21 Israeli military vehicles in 24 hours, which means nearly one every hour.
